They accomplished the daunting task of organizing the show in less than three months! They spent countless hours handling all the details such as gathering samples for photographing and jurying, setting uniform standards, creating hang tags, setting up transaction handling, obtaining tax licenses, signage, purchasing show supplies, scheduling demonstrations, transporting and setting up lighting and display equipment, transporting the work of 16 participants, and setting up the displays of the artwork. We were lucky to have a team of real pros! Other volunteers participated by giving demonstrations, tending the sales booths and restocking the tables. A fine job was done by all!
Jean Manney's demonstration of caning techniques generated much interest from show attendees. One of our demonstrations was featured on the local news show Saturday evening.
